One of our biggest requests is a portrait featuring a dog owner with their dog or dogs. How does this work? Well first off we ask that you connect with us for a free pre-session consultation. This is where we get to meet your dog(s) and have them see and get used to the studio. Even if we are doing this on location it helps to sit down and discuss briefly what your vision is for the portrait session.

It goes without saying that there are dangers for dogs in every season. Hopefully most understand the danger of heat and over exertion for dogs in summer, as well as the danger of leaving your pet in a hot car.
There are other dangers around, especially here in the Rocky Mountains. Snakes can be a source of interest for dogs—they make noise and move quickly—what’s not fun about that? Make sure that the area your dog walks and plays in is safe from the danger of poisonous snakes. Here it’s mostly rattle snakes that you need to be aware of. In our rugged parks and hiking trails there are plenty of snakes around so dog owners needs to be heads up an aware. If your dog gets bit by a poisonous snake, immediately restrict the movement of your pet, mobilize the limb if bitten there and get to your vet immediately. Don’t try to incise the bite wound to aspirate the venom and DO NOT apply a tourniquet without veterinary assistance.

After 8 years it was time to move though moving is never easy. Springs Pet Portraits is excited to announce that we have moved into a new space at 815 South Sierra Madre ST, #200, in the building with one of our marketing partners (BamPaws Stay & Play). With a nice open floor plan and higher ceilings (see photos above) this space allows us to better serve our clients. The open floor plan and concrete floor makes it easy for our furry friends to roam about.
We now have more room to accommodate large families with dogs as well large groupings of dogs. And having our fundraisers has just become a lot easier. Along with the new space we now have a larger parking lot to accommodate the needs of our clients. No parking meters here, just plenty of of free parking. And we have a nice handicap accessible entry. We are easy to access from I-25

Though the leaves haven't all fallen yet it’s time to begin thinking about the Holidays. They’re right around the corner! This year we’re bringing back the pet holiday card sessions. These are popular mini sessions with plenty of photo options for your holiday cards.
For the cost of the pet session ($95) you can have a mini session with you and your pet and receive a set of 25 custom holiday cards. These are no ordinary cards. They are definitely not the cheap photo cards you can get at department store photo labs. These are custom designed press printed cards with options for 1-4 photos. Why not show off your dog this Christmas? We are also offering tree ornaments as well. These are nice 3 inch round prints adhered to styrene with a ribbon for attaching to your tree. A photo can be displayed on both sides.
So get ready—between October 15 and November 15 we are scheduling these mini sessions. But you’d better hurry—we only offer a limited number of these sessions each year so call now to book your session.
